The APTERR Secretariat organised the ‘Working Meeting on the Remedied Financial Management Plan of the APTERR Secretariat and the Implementation of APTERR Tier 1 Programme’ on 15-16 March 2017at the Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE), Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) in Bangkok, Thailand. There were the APTERR Council members and the delegates from the ASEAN Plus Three member countries participating in the meeting except Cambodia and Indonesia due to their unavoidable
On 17 January 2017, Mr.Chanpithya Shimphalee, the General Manager (GM) of the APTERR Secretariat, welcomed Mr. Akira Karasawa, the Director-General for Crop Production Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan and the APTERR Council member, together with his team; Mr. Yasushi Uchikawa, the Managing-Director, Grain Trade and Operation Division, Ms. Nozomi Sugitani, an officer of Grain Trade and Operation Division, and Mr. Takashi Inoue, the first secretary at the Embassy of Japan in Bangkok
The APTERR Secretariat was pleased to welcome Ms. Mi-Ra Kim, Assistance Manager, and Ms. Jiyoon Kim, Staff of the Grain Aid Department of the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (AT), the Republic of Korea (ROK) to visit the APTERR Secretariat’s office during 6-7 September 2016 to enhance the cooperation and collaboration among the two parties.

The Special Senior Officials Meeting of the 37th Meeting of the ASEAN Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry (SSOM-37th AMAF) and the Special Senior Officials Meeting of the 15th ASEAN Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry Plus Three (SSOM-15th AMAF+3) were held in Palawan, the Republic of the Philippines on 22 – 25 August 2016.
The APTERR Secretariat organised the ‘Technical Working Meeting on Strengthening the Rice Reserve Implementation and the Subsidiary Regulations of the APTERR’ in Pattaya, Thailand on 26-27 July 2016 under the technical and financial assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s Regional Technical Assistance (RETA) financed by Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction.
