ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve
On 8 June 2021, the representatives from the APTERR Secretariat, Ms. Thortawan Thanormthin and Mr. Pirapat Shimphalee, participated in the Launch of the AADMER Work Programme 2021-2025 and the 6th AADMER Partnership Conference via a virtual conference. The meeting was organised by the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM) and also attended by numerous distinguished delegates from ASEAN as well as the ACDM’s partners.
The 9th Meeting of ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR) Council was held on 28 May 2021 via videoconference. It was organised by the APTERR Secretariat and hosted by the National Food Authority (NFA), Department of Agriculture, the Philippines.
On 19 January 2021, General Manager of the APTERR Secretariat Mr. Chanpithya Shimphalee and the APTERR staff participated in the virtual meeting with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan represented by Director-General of Crop Production Bureau Mr. Takashi Amo together with Director of Grain Trade and Operation Division Mr. Hideki Hagiwara and his team.
On 27 October 2020, the APTERR Secretariate led by Mr. Chanpithya Shimphalee, General Manager, attended the online farewell meeting for Mr. Aye Ko Ko, Deputy Director General of the Department of Agriculture (DOA), Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and the APTERR Council member from Myanmar, who will be retired in November 2020.
On 5 August 2020, the APTERR Secretariat attended the Special Senior Officials Meeting of the 19th Meeting of the ASEAN Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry Plus Three (Special SOM-19th AMAF+3) via the video conference.
