On 10 August 2022, Dr. Choomjet Karnjanakesorn, General Manager of the APTERR Secretariat, led Mr. Toshiki Tojo, Japanese Expert, along with the APTERR staff to visit the Department of Groundwater Resources, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand for building cooperation and collaboration relating to the line of APTERR’s works.
The APTERR Team was warmly welcomed by Mr. Kriangsak Pirarai, Director of Bureau of Groundwater Exploration and Potential Assessment, and his team of experts, who provided a detailed description of the usage and development of groundwater resources in Thailand, especially in the agricultural sector. The meeting later productively discussed the activities of the APTERR in safeguarding food security in the ASEAN Plus Three region and explore the possible future cooperation between the organisations in mutually interested areas.
