The APTERR Secretariat led by Dr. Choomjet Karnjanakesorn, General Manager together with Mr. Akinori Ando, Japanese Expert welcomed Mr. Yuichiro Murahashi, Bureau Chief of the Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS)’s Bangkok office, and his correspondent Ms. Kaewalin Tanvatcharapanee to the APTERR Secretariat office on 15 January 2024 for greeting, and conferring on the possibility of collaboration.
Dr. Karnjanakesorn shared the information of the APTERR, and the updated situations of rice and natural disasters in the ASEAN Plus Three (APT) countries. Meanwhile, Mr. Murahashi expressed his interest in APTERR’s works as one of vital regional mechanisms in strengthening food security and providing humanitarian assistance, especially the implementation of the APTERR’s Tier 3 programme. He also looked for an opportunity to collaborate closely with the APTERR Secretariat to promote the APTERR’s performance of emergency response to the public.
The visit of the representatives from the TBS would build up a great opportunity for the APTERR Secretariat to promote its organisation and expand the awareness of the APTERR’s activities and food security to society.
