On 29 October 2024, the APTERR Secretariat team led by Dr. Choomjet Karnjanakesorn, General Manager, had a great opportunity to welcome delegates from the Department of Agriculture (DOA), Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (MOALI) of Myanmar to the APTERR Secretariat.
Apart from the office visit, the APTERR team and Myanmar delegates discussed on the APTERR activities and programmes, especially the Tier 3 programme such as the procedures and challenges of the implementation of Tier 3 programme in Myanmar. Furthermore, Ms. Ei Myat Mon and Ms. Aye Thiri Mon, deputy Staff Officer, Rice Division from DOA provided information on food security situation in Myanmar to the APTERR Secretariat.
Moreover, Dr. Karnjanakesorn also invite Dr. Sumanya Ngandee, AFSIS Manager and her team to attend the meeting and provide a presentation on the AFSIS activities.
