The Republic of Korea (ROK)’s generous contribution of 300-MT emergency rice assistance has been extending to 7,500 households affected by COVID-19 in seven provinces namely Svay Rieng, Tbong Khmum, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Odor Meanchey, Siem Reap, and Kampong Cham, Cambodia through the APTERR’s Tier 3 programme.
On 6 March 2022, H.E. Veng Sakhon, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (MAFF) of Cambodia presided at the first handover ceremony of 300-MT rice organised by MAFF’s General Directorate of Agriculture together with local agencies in Kampong Cham province. Further, the similar ceremony will be conducted in each targeted province during 6-15 March 2022 to lend a helping hand to those in need.
