Emergency rice reserve donated from the Republic of Korea (ROK) through the APTERR’s Tier 3 programme has been distributed to more than hundred thousand of beneficiaries in various disaster-affected regions in the Philippines.
The National Food Authority (NFA) together with the Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD), and Local Government Unit (LGU) has distributed the ROK’s 600-MT rice to alleviate the food insecurity situation in Region XI (Davao Region) and Region XII (Cotabato Region) of Mindanao, which had been struck by a series of earthquakes.
