ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve
It was a great opportunity for the APTERR Secretariat to be invited to attend the virtual workshop on Food Security: Sharing Evidence and Policy Experiences organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on 2 February 2023 to foster a policy dialogue on food security between the ASEAN and OECD member countries and secretariats.
On 13 January 2023, Dr. Choomjet Karnjanakesorn, General Manager of the APTERR Secretariat and the APTERR staff had a great opportunity to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Jaranthada Karnasuta, the current Privy Councillor and the former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (2007-2009).
The APTERR Secretariat welcomed the representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) and the Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation (aT) of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to the Secretariat office on 9 December 2022 for discussing a further improvement of APTERR’s activities in strengthening food security in the region.
