Field trip on Thai farmer’s way of life
The APTERR Secretariat has realised on an essential of human resources development as it is one of fundamentals to help us accomplish the goals of strengthening food security in the region.
In relation to this, the field trip on Thai’s farmer’s way of life was set up during 26-29 September 2017 in Chiang Mai at aims of providing real experiences on the rice farming to our staff members for enhancing their knowledge and understanding about their works which are mainly related to rice.
During the field trip, the staff members visited the Conservative Travel Center in Mae Klang Luang Village, Doi Inthanon to see a terrace farming and the Thai Buffalo Training Camp in Mae Rim District to learn and practice on an old-style rice farming process. Besides, the staff members had a chance to discuss and exchange views with the experienced farmers to deepen their understanding about the rice farming.
