Working Meeting on the APTERR’s remedied financial management plan and Tier 1 programme

The APTERR Secretariat organised the ‘Working Meeting on the Remedied Financial Management Plan of the APTERR Secretariat and the Implementation of APTERR Tier 1 Programme’ on 15-16 March 2017at the Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE), Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) in Bangkok, Thailand. There were the APTERR Council members and the delegates from the ASEAN Plus Three member countries participating in the meeting except Cambodia and Indonesia due to their unavoidable 

The APTERR Secretariat organised the ‘Working Meeting on the Remedied Financial Management Plan of the APTERR Secretariat and the Implementation of APTERR Tier 1 Programme’ on 15-16 March 2017at the Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE), Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) in Bangkok, Thailand. There were the APTERR Council members and the delegates from the ASEAN Plus Three member countries participating in the meeting except Cambodia and Indonesia due to their unavoidable circumstance. The total number of participants including the APTERR Secretariat staff were 38. 

 

To ensure a smooth and continuous operation of the APTERR activities in the future, this working meeting mainly discussed on the remedied financial management plan proposed by the APTERR Secretariat for a long-term financial self-sufficiency of the APTERR. The Tier 1 programme implementation was also highlighted at the meeting with the aims to encourage the APTERR members to participate in the programme. The results of the meeting would help accelerate a consideration of the APTERR’s financial issue raised at the coming 5th Council Meeting in coming May 2017 in Indonesia.
